Twins Snap Skid

The Minnesota Twins put an end to their losing streak after topping the Atlanta Braves 4-2 to open their series at Target Field. Josh Bell led the way at the plate after going 2-for-3 with a pair of runs batted in. Royce Lewis and Kody Clemens each drove in a run, as well. The Twins scored all four runs in the first inning. The Twins improved to 61-65 and are five games out of first place in the A-L Central. Minnesota had dropped three straight and will continue its three-game set tonight. First pitch is set for 6:40 P-M. Coverage begins at 6pm on KNUJ and SAM 107.3.

Vikings host Baltimore this week:

The Minnesota Vikings have officially lost safety Jamal Adams for the season, but he will still be part of the team. Head coach Kevin O’Connell said yesterday that Adams’ presence will be welcomed at the facility following surgery to repair a torn quad tendon. Minnesota has placed Adams on injured reserve and signed cornerback Bryce Phillips to fill his spot on the roster. In addition, the team signed linebacker Kenny Dyson and waived linebacker Arden Walker. The team is off today and will resume training camp practice tomorrow in Eagan. The Vikes will host the Baltimore Ravens for two days of joint practices this week before hosting them for a preseason game on Saturday at noon. Coverage on SAM 107.3 begins at 11am.

Legion World Series:

The Championship is set for the 2026 Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina. Portland, Oregon defeats Tupelo, Mississippi 3 to 1 and then Lincoln, Nebraska ten runs Midland, Michigan 10 to 0 in five innings. Championship tonight begins at 5pm central time.
