Twins stop slide

(Kansas City, MO/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Twins snapped a three-game skid with a gritty 5-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Thursday at Kauffman Stadium, avoiding a series sweep. Taj Bradley delivered a gem, tossing six shutout innings while allowing just five hits. The game stayed tight at 1-1 into the ninth, when the Twins erupted with three home runs in the final frame to blow it open. Minnesota improved to 2-4 on the young season.Royals starter Cole Ragans took the loss after a solid outing ruined late.
