Twins Sweep Rangers; Move On To Arizona

The Minnesota Twins broke out the bats and the brooms Thursday afternoon in Texas, completing a sweep of the three-game series with a 9-3 win over the Rangers.

With the Twins already leading 1-0 in the first inning, Brooks Lee (pictured) hit a three-run homer and Minnesota never looked back.

Trevor Larnach and Ryan Kreidler both hit two-run homeruns to add to the Twins offense.

Minnesota starter Joe Ryan struggled at times, but did pitch five shutout innings and lowered his ERA to 2.99.

Up next for the Twins is a three-game series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks beginning Friday night.
