Twins swept by Braves
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Atlanta Braves completed a three-game sweep of the Minnesota Twins with a 5-1 win at Target Field last night. The game was tied 1-1 entering the seventh inning before Matt Olson drove in the go-ahead run with a double. The Braves added three more runs in the frame to take control of the contest. Jorge Soler homered in the victory, while Chris Sale earned his 15th win by striking out six and holding Minnesota to a run on six hits in six innings. Atlanta has won six of seven. David Festa was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering a pair of runs on two hits in six innings. Caleb Thielbar and Jorge Alcala were on the mound when the four runs scored in the seventh. The third-place Twins have dropped eight of ten are three-and-a-half-games behind first-place Cleveland. Minnesota is off tonight and will welcome Toronto to town tomorrow night.
