Twins Walk Off Rays
The Minnesota Twins are on a six-game winning streak following a 7-6 win over the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field. The Twins overcame an early four-run deficit thanks to back-to-back R-B-I doubles by Willi Castro and Trevor Larnach in the fourth inning. Carlos Santana hit a pinch-hit walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to give Minnesota the win. The Twins improved to 41-32 and have moved into second-place in the A-L Central, just four-and-a-half-games behind first-place Cleveland.. Joe Ryan starts for Minnesota against the Rays tonight. In other team news, the Twins place Alex Kirilloff on the injured list yesterday.
