Twins win 8-2 over Toronto

On Sunday the Toronto Blue Jays scored one run in the 1st inning but the Twins knock in three in the 2nd inning and 5 more in the 3rd inning to win 8-2 over the Blue Jays.

Taj Bradley (3-0) picks up the win Taj pitch 5 innings gave up 5 hits and had 7 K’s and gets the win. Twins right-hander Andrew Morris made his Major League debut in the sixth inning, replacing starter Taj Bradley. He wrapped up his outing after three innings, allowing one run on six hits.

Tristan Gray sparked the Twins offense in the second inning when he turned on an inside cutter from Blue Jays starter Max Scherzer. Gray finished 1-for-3 with three RBIs including a three run home run it landed deep in the right-field seats. He has now driven in 11 runs, second on the team behind Josh Bell.

Twins will be back home on Monday hosting the Boston Red Sox.
