Twins win again, all of a sudden in a tie for First Place

(Chicago, IL) — The Minnesota Twins are in a five-way tie for first place in the American League Central Division following a 6-1 win over the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field last night in Chicago. Byron Buxton and Harrison Bader both went deep in the victory, while Pablo Lopez earned the win after holding the Southsiders to one run on four hits in seven innings. Lopez struck out five and walked just one, while allowing four hits. Buxton also doubled home a run in the win, while Carlos Correa added a run and two hits, including a double. All five teams in the A-L Central are 2-4 so far this season. The Twins send Joe Ryan to the mound against the Astros in the home opener today at Target Field. First pitch is set for 3:10 P-M.
