TWO DEAD, ONE CRITICALLY INJURED IN WILLMAR SHOOTING
Two men are dead and a third is in critical condition after a shooting in Willmar Monday night. Police say they were dispatched to the area of Rau Park for a report of gunshots. Emergency personnel arrived and started life saving measures to two men, one 19 years old, the other 20 years old, both of Willmar. Both were taken to CentraCare Rice Hospital by ambulance. One was pronounced dead at the hospital and another flown by helicopter to the St. Cloud hospital with life-threatening injuries. A third 19-year-old Willmar man was taken to Rice Hospital by personal vehicle and also died at the hospital. Police say this is an isolated incident and not a random act of violence and don’t believe there is a threat to the public. Authorities are continuing to process the scene and have blocked off traffic from the Kandiyohi County Fairgrounds to 15th Avenue Northwest. Names have not been released yet and more information will be released when more facts become available.
