Two Injured in Stearns County Crash

A driver and his passenger were injured in a crash in Stearns County Sunday morning northwest of Kimball.

The Sheriff’s Office says they received a call at about 4:30am reporting a one vehicle rollover crash on County Road 48 near 140th Street.

On arrival, deputies were able to extricate the two by removing the windshield.

The driver, 24-year-old Lyman Fuchs of Eden Valley, said he had fallen asleep while driving. He was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. His passenger, 22-year-old Shelby Edwards of Litchfield, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered substantial, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Both were taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash.
