Two Fairmont Motorcyclists Critically Injured Near Windom

Two Fairmont residents suffered life-threatening injuries when their motorcycles struck a deer near Windom Sunday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 62-year-old Trent Johnson and 56-year-old Donna Johnson were traveling north on Highway 71 near 440th Street when the crash happened shortly before 11 A-M.

Both riders were transported to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. Windom emergency crews and the Cottonwood and Jackson County sheriff’s offices assisted at the scene.
