St James defeats Madelia 3 to 2. St James advanced to championship game versus Sleepy Eye. Sleepy Eye scores 5 runs in the 2nd, enroute to a 13 to 2, 6 inning win. Mathiowetz picked up the win, going 6, allowing 2 runs, giving up 2 hits and striking out 6. Klein had 3 hits and 5 rbi. Sleepy Eye advances to the State Tournament August 8th thru the 10th in St Charles.

Luverne won the Southwest A-pod, with a 13 to 1 win over RTR.

River Valley West regular season comes to a close, Jordan defeats St Peter 13 to 1 in 7 innings, to gain the number one seed and a bye into the Region 6 Tournament.  The RVL West playoffs begin on Wednesday in Lesueur, St Peter and Belle Plaine.
