UMN Morris NEW thermochemical battery demonstration on May 1st
UMN is excited to invite you to an open house showcasing a first-of-its-kind thermal energy storage installation at the University of Minnesota Morris. This is the first thermochemical energy storage system deployed at a U.S. university.
Join THIS FRIDAY, May 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Carpentry Shop at the UMN Morris campus for an inside look at Cache Energy‘s innovative thermal battery technology.
At the open house, you will:
• Tour the Cache heating skid installation near the Carpentry Shop
• Hear from UMN Morris, Cache Energy, and Grid Catalyst leaders
• Learn about real-world performance data from the pilot
• Discuss opportunities for broader deployment across Minnesota and beyond
Big congratulations to vice chancellor Bryan Herrmann and the UMN Morris Facilities Management team for getting this project launched and installed at UMN Morris! Energy storage is a key part of our energy future. You can see a little bit of the future — today in Morris.
