UND Star Lance Rucker Injured Days Before Season Opener
The University of North Dakota football team could be without its top pass rusher for Thursday’s season opener.
A report says senior defensive end Lance Rucker suffered a foot injury during practice Friday. The extent of the injury has not been officially confirmed, and UND has not announced whether Rucker will be available against L-I-U.
Rucker earned first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors last season after recording 64 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and a school-record 11-and-a-half sacks. He also forced four fumbles.
The Fighting Hawks open the season against L-I-U Thursday at 7 P-M inside the Alerus Center.
