Underage Boaters Found to Be Consuming Alcohol

Underage drinking while boating unsafe boating practices were reported this week in the Thief River Falls area. 

Conservation Officer Sarah Jahn says persons under the age of 21 were found to be consuming alcohol after a complaint about a boat with expired registration was taken. She says when contact was made with the boat, “the occupants didn’t have a single life jacket on board.”

Jahn says she also assisted other Conservation Officers on a search warrant in the Bagley area. Other enforcement action was taken for angling without a license and juveniles not wearing helmets on ATVs.
