Utah blasts Wild

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Hockey Club blitzed the Wild for 60 minutes on their way to an easy 6-1 win over the Wild. Freddy Gaudreau gave the Wild a glimmer of hope late in the second period when he cut Utah’s lead to 2-1 but the former Coyotes scored 1:48 later to put the home team back on top by a pair, scored three more in the third, and cruised to the win. Marc Andre Fleury made 25 saves in the loss as Minnesota was outshot 31-17 in the game and 11-3 in the final frame. The Wild have lost two straight and will skate in Colorado tonight with an 8 P-M face off against the Avalanche at Ball Arena.
