Vehicle Breaks Through Ice on Kandiyohi Co Lake

A pickup broke through the ice on a Kandiyohi County lake north of Willmar Saturday evening, but the driver was able to get out of the vehicle safely.

At just before 5:30pm, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle thru the ice on Long Lake.

The pickup was about 150 yards north of the south lake access and was in shallow water about 3 feet deep.
