Vikes Win Season Opener In Chicago

It was the tale of two halves for the Vikings on Monday night in Chicago as they rallied for a stunning 27-24 win over the Bears at Soldier Field. The Bears had their way in the first half but only led 10-6 at the break. Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy was under fire in his N-F-L debut including throwing a pick six that was taken 74 yards by Nathan Wright in the third quarter to extend the Bears lead to 17-6. But McCarthy and the Vikings turned the tables from there scoring 21 consecutive fourth quarter points to seal the comeback. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell on the play of QB J.J. McCarthy finished the game with 143 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns plus he ran one in to ice the victory. The Vikings open up U.S. Bank Stadium next week when they host Atlanta on Sunday night football at 7:20 P-M.
