Vikings Edge Giants 13-10 in Preseason Opener

The Minnesota Vikings opened the preseason with a 13-to-10 road win over the New York Giants Saturday.

Kyler Murray led Minnesota’s starting offense for the opening possession in his Vikings debut.

Carson Wentz threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Myles Price for Minnesota’s only touchdown. Kicker Will Reichard added two field goals, including one from 54 yards.

The Vikings’ defense intercepted two passes.

The bigger concern is safety Jamal Adams, who suffered a right knee injury and was taken from the field on a cart. Coach Kevin O’Connell said the initial assessment was “not good.” Further evaluation is pending.
