Vikings in pads for first time
(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings were in full pads for the first time this training camp with their afternoon practice yesterday in Eagan. A sold out crowd watched in hot conditions as the first-team offense took on the first-team defense in a few select drills. New linebacker Jonathan Greenard says getting to practice in pads increases the intensity of everything. The Vikes will have another workout this afternoon that is open to the fans, beginning at 2:30 P-M. Meanwhile, Minnesota is adding some much-needed help in their secondary. The team signed defensive back Bobby McCain to a contract yesterday. McCain was drafted by the Dolphins in 2015, and he spent time playing under Brian Flores. He had just one tackle in ten games with the Giants last season. The Purple cut John Parker Romo to make room for McCain.
