Vikings Prepare For NFL Draft

(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings will be on the clock tonight (Thursday) as the NFL Draft gets underway with the first round.

The Purple currently hold the 24th overall pick of the first round, as well as a pick in the third round at number-97 overall, in the fifth round at number-139 overall and in the sixth round at number-187 overall.

Minnesota general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah says they have positioned themselves to add a few quality players this week. The Vikings have been linked to a number of defensive linemen, defensive backs, and interior offensive linemen as areas of need.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears have the tenth overall pick in the first round of tonight’s draft. Green Bay currently owns the 23rd overall selection in the first round, while the Detroit Lions have the 28th overall slot.

The Vikings are hosting a “Vikings Draft Party” tonight at U-S Bank Stadium starting at 6 PM in Minneapolis. Tickets for that event are available at the team’s webpage.
