Vikings Reshape Roster and Add Offensive-Line Depth

The Minnesota Vikings are continuing to adjust their roster ahead of the regular-season opener.

Minnesota retained quarterback J.J. McCarthy on the active roster alongside starter Kyler Murray and veteran Carson Wentz.

The Vikings claimed offensive linemen Trevor Keegan and Nick Samac off waivers Monday. To clear two roster spots, Minnesota released quarterback Max Brosmer and receiver Dillon Bell.

Keegan previously played with McCarthy on Michigan’s national championship team. Samac appeared in 11 games for Carolina last season.

Minnesota has also assembled a 16-player practice squad. Fourteen of those players spent at least part of the preseason with the Vikings.

The roster remains subject to additional changes before the season begins.
