Vikings Routed 34-6 in Preseason Finale

The Minnesota Vikings closed the preseason with a 34-to-6 loss to the Denver Broncos Friday night.

Minnesota failed to score a touchdown for the second consecutive game and finished the preseason with only one touchdown in three contests.

Carson Wentz completed three of four passes for 15 yards during two series. Max Brosmer handled most of the remaining work, completing 20 of 35 passes for 165 yards.

The Vikings managed 270 total yards and converted only three of 13 third downs. Will Reichard supplied Minnesota’s scoring with two second-quarter field goals.

Undrafted rookie safety Jacob Thomas left the game after being injured while defending a pass during Denver’s opening drive. The team did not immediately announce the severity of the injury.

Minnesota must reduce its roster to 53 players by Sunday. Minnesota Vikings
