Vikings take DT Banks in First Round
(Eagan, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Vikings hope they’ve found a star along their defensive line. The Purple selected Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks with the 18th overall pick in the first round of the N-F-L Draft last night. Banks missed most of the 2025 season with a foot injury. He made six tackles in three games for Florida last year. He began his career at Louisville and had 48 career tackles and six-and-a-half career sacks with the Cardinals and Gators. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell called Banks a “top ten” talent. The Vikings have three picks on the second day of the draft tonight.
