Vikings Trade J.J. McCarthy to Giants for Draft Pick
The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to trade quarterback J.J. McCarthy to the New York Giants for a fifth-round pick in the 2027 N-F-L Draft.
The teams announced the deal Monday. It remains dependent on McCarthy passing a physical.
Minnesota selected McCarthy tenth overall in 2024. A knee injury sidelined him for his rookie season. He started ten games last year, throwing eleven touchdown passes and twelve interceptions as Minnesota went six-and-four in those starts.
McCarthy opened this season behind Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz. The Giants are adding quarterback depth after losing starter Jaxson Dart to a season-ending knee injury.
