Vikings will honor Bobby Bryant
(Eagan, MN) — Former Minnesota Vikings defensive back Bobby Bryant will be inducted into the team’s “Ring of Honor” at a ceremony on September 22nd. Bryant played for the Purple from 1967 through 1980, making 57 interceptions in both the regular season and playoffs. That number is the most anyone wearing a Vikings uniform has ever made. Paul Krause made 56 total interceptions with Minnesota, plus 28 picks with the Washington Redskins. Bryant is the first cornerback and the third defensive back to earn the “Ring of Honor” distinction. Bryant played on 11 Vikings teams that won a division and twice started in the Super Bowl.
