Warm Wednesday Across Minnesota, Storm Chances Return Thursday

Northern Minnesota

Northern Minnesota will be mostly sunny Wednesday, with highs generally in the upper 70s. The Duluth area is expected to reach the upper 70s with lighter winds and mostly clear skies Wednesday night.

Thursday remains warm and humid with highs again in the upper 70s. A few showers or thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon, with rain chances increasing Thursday night.

Central Minnesota

Central Minnesota starts Wednesday with some clouds and a chance for showers early, but skies should quickly improve. By late morning and afternoon, much of the region should turn mostly sunny and warm, with temperatures climbing into the low-to-mid 80s around St. Cloud.

Thursday will remain warm, with increasing humidity and another chance for showers or thunderstorms as the next weather system moves into the region.

Southern Minnesota

Southern Minnesota will have the most active weather Wednesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms are possible early, especially around Rochester, before skies gradually become mostly sunny. Highs will reach the mid-80s.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday night into Thursday. Warm and humid conditions will continue, with parts of southern Minnesota remaining in the 80s.

Overall, Wednesday should become a mostly warm and sunny day across Minnesota after some early showers and storms in the south and central parts of the state. Thunderstorm chances increase again Thursday, followed by a more unsettled pattern heading toward Friday.
