Watch Out for the Heat this Weekend

It is beginning to feel a lot like summer.

The National Weather Service warns the area about some potential heat risks, potentially seeing the heat index reach 100 on Sunday.

Most of the summer season has left most of Minnesota with cooler temperatures and buckets of rain, yet that has not been the case this week.

Each day the temperature has been over 80 degrees, and most of the high temperatures have been increasing. Leading us to this weekend where the High temperature for Saturday is 91 and the high for Sunday is 92.

We could see some scattered thunderstorms and rain showers Friday night and Saturday morning. The chance of precipiation on Friday is 40%, while it is only 20% for Saturday.

Saturday is calling for mostly sunny with a high of 91 and a low of 68 and Sunday will be sunny all day with a high of 92 and a low of 70.
