What to do this weekend in Morris
Looking for something to do in Morris this weekend? Morris City Tourism has rounded up several options for Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16.
Friday evening starts with Silent Book Club at the Morris Public Library from 5 to 6 p.m. Bring your own book or browse the library’s selection, then enjoy quiet reading, light snacks, and casual book conversation.
Later Friday, Footnights Dance Studio presents its “Dancing Through Life” Recital at the Raymond J. Proscenium Theater at the University of Minnesota Morris. The recital runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Saturday brings a full day of activities. The Equine Vendor & Fun Fest runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stevens County Fairgrounds, featuring equine vendors and fun races. Race entry is $10 per horse and rider.
The Spring Plant Sale will be held Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the American Legion, with Master Gardeners on site and a selection of mums, perennials, annuals, succulents, houseplants, and gardening tools.
Families can also catch a free showing of The Road to El Dorado at the Morris Theatre, located at 12 East 6th Street. The showing is sponsored by The Fireside Grill.
Saturday wraps up with a Star Wars Unlimited TCG Tournament at John’s Total Entertainment, 510 Atlantic Avenue, starting at 3 p.m. Full details and tournament rules are available through John’s website or Facebook page.
