Wild beat NHL’s best Caps
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild shook off a slow start during a 4-2 win over the Washington Capitals at the Xcel Energy Center. The Caps led by a goal entering the second period before Freddy Gaudreau and Matt Boldy both lit the lamp. Gaudreau added an empty-netter in the third period to put the game on ice. The Wild are in fourth place in the Central Division with 87 points. Matt Roy and Brandon Duhaime each scored for the Capitals, who have dropped their last two games. Minnesota will host New Jersey tomorrow at 5 P-M in St. Paul.
