Wild blow 3 goal lead, Eliminated by Av’s

The Minnesota Wild’s playoff run is over after a painful finish in Denver. The Wild led by three goals, but Colorado stormed back and Brett Kulak scored at 3:52 of overtime to give the Avalanche a 4-3 win in Game 5. That victory eliminated Minnesota in the Western Conference Second Round. Nick Foligno scored twice for the Wild, but it was not enough to hold off Colorado’s comeback. The loss ends a postseason that had promise, but also leaves Minnesota with a long offseason and some hard questions after letting a closeout-level opportunity slip away.
