Wild Defeat The Hawks

Captain Jared Spurgeon scored twice in the second period as the Wild rallied to beat the Blackhawks 3-2 on Black Friday in St. Paul. Former Wild forward Ryan Donato scored twice to open up a 2-0 lead for the visitors but the Wild responded with three consecutive second period goals to overtake Chicago and hang on for the win. Spurgeon put up his eighth career multi goal game and his first goal since April 8, 2023. He also notched his 21st career game winning goal on his 35th birthday. Marco Rossi scored the other goal for Minnesota as Marc Andre Fleury got a fifth straight win on 20 saves. The Wild host the Predators at 7 P-M on Saturday night at Xcel Energy Center.
