Wild down 2-0 to Avs in Playoffs
(Denver, CO/Learfield News) — Colorado star Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and three points as the Avalanche beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 last night in Denver to take a 2-0 series lead in their second-round matchup in the N-H-L Stanley Cup Playoffs. Kirill Kaprizov and Marcus Johansson each scored for Minnesota, but special teams continue to haunt the Wild. Their power play was 0-for-2 while the Avalanche scored twice with the man advantage. Filip Gustavsson got his first start of the postseason and gave up four goals on 22 shots. It’s the 10th time in franchise history the Wild have gone down 2-0 to start a playoff series. The only time they’ve rallied to prevail was in 2014 when they beat the Avalanche in seven games. Game Three is at 8 P-M on Saturday night at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.
