Wild drop another one in OT
(Winnipeg, Manitoba) — For the second game in a row the Minnesota Wild failed to take both points, suffering a 2-1 overtime loss last night in Winnipeg. Kyle Connor got the extra point for the Jets in O-T as he scored a powerplay tally on Winnipeg’s first shot in the extra frame. This came on the heels of the Wild falling to the Kraken via a shootout on Saturday night in St. Paul. Jake Middleton scored the only goal for Minnesota as Filip Gustavsson made 33 saves in the overtime loss. The Wild were shorthanded on the evening with Joel Eriksson Ek out with a broken nose and Jared Spurgeon listed as day to day with a lower body injury. While the Wild suffered the loss they do have points in all three games this season going 1-0-2 which is worth four out of a possible six points. The Jets are now a perfect 3-0-0. The Wild are in St. Louis on Tuesday night with a 6:30 P-M puck drop.
