Wild Eliminate Stars
Quinn Hughes scored twice and had three points as the Wild beat the Stars 5-2 in Game 6. The win puts the Wild into the second round for the first time since 2015 as they win the series 4-2. Vladimir Tarasenko tied the game at 2-2 in the second and while Hughes scored the eventual winner in the third, Matt Boldy iced the victory with a pair of empty net goals in the final 90 seconds. Jesper Wallstedt made 22 saves for the win and started all six games in the series. Minnesota advances to face the Colorado Avalanche in the second round, which should start either Sunday or Monday at Ball Arena in Denver.
