Wild give up 5 straight, fall to Blues

(St. Louis, MO/Learfield News) — The St. Louis Blues scored five straight as they handed the Wild a 6-3 loss in Minnesota’s final regular season road game. Nick Foligno, Danila Yurov and Michael McCarron combined to give the Wild a 3-1 lead but the Blues rallied for three straight in the second period and then finished the scoring with two more in the third. With their playoff spot already secured, the Wild rested 10 key players for the game including Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Boldy, Quinn Hughes and Brock Faber. The Wild dropped each game of a three-game road trip and finish the road schedule with 23 wins and 50 points away from St. Paul. Filip Gustavsson suffered the loss on 16 saves. He’s given up 25 goals in his last six starts. The Wild finish the regular season tonight against the Anaheim Ducks with a 7 P-M face off at Grand Casino Arena. Minnesota is 20-1-0 in the last 21 meetings with the Ducks dating back to 2020.
