Wild Shut Out Habs

Filip Gustavsson made 19 saves for his first shutout of the season as the Wild blanked the Canadiens 3-0 on Thursday night in St. Paul. Matt Boldy broke scoreless tie with his 10th of the season in the second period and then Marco Rossi scored on the power play in the third to make it 2-0. Kirill Kaprizov scored his 10th into an empty net to secure the 10th win in the last 13 games for Minnesota. The Wild improve to 11-2-3 and their 25 points are the most in franchise history after 16 games. It was also their 11th straight win over Montreal at Xcel Energy Center dating back to 2011. The Wild got the win despite losing both Joel Eriksson Ek and Mats Zuccarello to lower body injuries early in the hockey game. Head coach John Hynes had no update on their condition after the game. The Wild finish off the brief homestand on Saturday when they host the Stars at 7 P-M. Catch all the action on KNUJ, pre-game begins at 6:45pm.
