Wild Take Game Two Over Golden Knights
(Minnesota News Network- Las Vegas, NV) — The top line of Kirill Kaprizov, Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy delivered in a big way as the Minnesota Wild beat the Golden Knights 5-2 late Tuesday night in Las Vegas to even the series at 1-1. The top trio combined for three goals, five points and put nine shots on goal as Minnesota stormed ahead 4-0 and then cruised to victory. Filip Gustavsson made 30 saves including 10 in the third period. Noah Hanafin and Tomas Hertl scored for Vegas. The Wild stopped a six game losing streak to the Knights dating back to February 12, 2024 and are now 4-14 all time in Game 2’s. Aiden Hill stopped 12 of 16 for the Golden Knights. Kaprizov scored twice to move past Mikko Koivu on the franchise list for all time postseason goal scorers. Kaprizov now has 12 and is tied with Marian Gaborik for second trailing only Zach Parise’s 16. Game Three of the series is tomorrow night at Xcel Energy Center. Puck will drop at 8 P-M.
