Wild win on late goal

(Sunrise, FL/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota forward Joel Eriksson Ek scored with just five seconds left in regulation to lift the Wild to a 3-2 win over the Panthers. Florida had tied the game 2-2 when Aaron Ekblad scored with just 1:13 left in regulation. But Eriksson Ek answered with his 18th of the season to save the win. Marcus Foligno scored in his first game back after missing 12 with injury. Ryan Hartman had the other Wild marker. Jesper Wallstedt made 18 saves in the victory. The win gives the Wild 94 points to pull within three points of Dallas for second place in the Central Division. Minnesota will skate in Boston on Saturday afternoon to close out the three game trip. Puck drops at 4 P-M from T-D Garden.
