The win puts the Wild into the second round for the first time since 2015 as they win the series 4-2. Vladimir Tarasenko tied the game at 2-2 in the second, and while Hughes scored the eventual winner in the third, Matt Boldy iced the victory with a pair of empty-net goals in the final 90 seconds. Jesper Wallstedt made 22 saves for the win and started all six games in the series.
