Wild’s Brock Faber Out Indefinitely After Skull Surgery

Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber is out indefinitely after surgery to repair a fractured skull.

The 24-year-old was struck in the head by a puck during Friday’s preseason game against Dallas. He underwent surgery Sunday.

General manager Bill Guerin says Faber is home, resting and doing well. The team has not announced a recovery timetable and says doctors will guide his return.

Minnesota opens the regular season Thursday in Nashville.
