Williston Man Identified After Red River Drowning

Authorities have identified the man whose body was recovered from the Red River in Moorhead last week.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner says 29-year-old Brent Leggitt of Williston, North Dakota, died from drowning.

Moorhead police and firefighters responded to the river near First Avenue North shortly before 1 A-M last Wednesday. Emergency crews recovered Leggitt’s body from the water.

Investigators say there were no signs of foul play or other suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
