Willmar Schools Closed Due to Potential Threat

Willmar Public Schools are closed today (Tuesday) due to a potential security threat.

The West Central Tribune reports Willmar Superintendent Bill Adams announced Monday night that a possible security threat has forced the cancellation of school and all activities and the closing of all buildings today.

The threat was received after the end of the school day on Monday, according to Adams’ statement posted to Facebook. He said the school district and local law enforcement authorities need to “fully investigate and determine the credibility of this threat.”
