WILLMAR SCHOOLS CLOSED DUE TO THREAT
The Willmar School District has cancelled all classes today (Tuesday) due to a threat. A post Monday night on the district’s Facebook page by Superintendent Dr. Bill Adams says the district received a threat regarding school safety Monday afternoon after school. The district decided to close schools out of an abundance of caution. Earlier in the day Monday, a middle school student was caught with a paring knife in their backpack apparently in response to a social media dispute they had had with someone over the weekend. The letter does not say if the student was arrested.
