Willmar Schools Reopen After Threat/Three Juveniles Arrested
(KWLM/Learfield News) Classes resumed as normal in the Willmar School District today (Wednesday), after threats caused the cancellation of classes on Tuesday.
Willmar Police say after an investigation and interviews, three juveniles have been arrested, and Willmar schools Superintendent Dr. Bill Adams says counseling will be available this week to anyone affected by these events, and the district will strictly enforce discipline policies against those responsible.
Adams says the investigation began after a message containing a threatening message was found in the middle school on Monday afternoon.
Superintendent Adams says while the incident may have begun as a joke, parents need to talk to their kids about the gravity of these actions and the impact they have on the community.
