Willmar Train Derailment Closes Rail Crossing
(Learfield News/Willmar, MN) — A railroad crossing in Willmar is closed until later today (Friday) after a train derailment Wednesday night.
Officials responded to the incident around 11pm, finding four train cars on their side and four others off the track yet upright.
The cars contained a gas-ethanol mix, but no leakage or subsequent fire were found.
No injuries were reported.
Officials say the Lakeland Drive rail crossing will be closed until late Friday afternoon.
