Willmar Woman In Court For Murder

(Willmar MN-) A court hearing was scheduled in Willmar yesterday for a Maynard woman charged with the drug-related murder of a Willmar man. 19-year-old Mercedes Carpenter is charged with 3rd Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Manslaughter and 3rd Degree Drug Sales for allegedly selling fentanyl to a Willmar man September 26th of last year. The man was later found dead in the bath tub of his southeast Willmar home and the cause of death was fentanyl toxicity.
