WINDOM MAN KILLED IN CRASH

A Windom man was killed and a  woman critically injured when the vehicle they were driving collided with a semi in Windom Thursday evening.  The state patrol as called at 6:35 pm to Highway 60 and Cindy Street.  A Ford Edge driven by 76-year-old Terry Fredin of Windom collided with a semi driven by 30-year-old Eric Murcia of Springfield.  Fredin was killed.  His passenger 78-year-old Karen Fredin of Windom was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with life threatening injuries.  Neither Furcia nor his passenger 27-year-old Baylee Barsalou of North Sioux City, South Dakota were hurt.  Windom police, fire and ambulance, Cottonwood and Jackson County sheriff’s office assisted at the scene.
