– WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN 221 AM CST Thu Dec 19 2024

…SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL LIKELY FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL INTO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND WESTERN WISCONSIN…

.A well-organized winter storm will bring widespread accumulating snow to the region through this evening. A band of 4 to 7 inches of snow is expected to fall near and north of a line from Montevideo MN through the Twin Cities metro to Eau Claire WI.

Lesser snowfall amounts will occur to the south of that line. Strong winds will also cause blowing snow and potentially reduced visibilities, especially across western and southwestern Minnesota.
