WNBA agrees to new CBA

(Undated/Minnesota News Network) — The W-N-B-A is extending its season under a new collective bargaining agreement. The W-N-B-A Players Association says its latest possible end date is November 21st and could stretch to November 30th in 2028 due to the Olympics. League officials are also increasing the number of games to as many as 50 by 2027 and 52 by 2029. This follows a planned expansion to 18 teams. Additional changes improve player benefits, facility standards, and staffing requirements across the league.
