Wolves beat Jazz, will get Lakers in Playoffs

(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Timberwolves are heading back to the playoffs following a 116-105 win over the Utah Jazz in the season finale from Target Center. The Wolves took control of the game in the third quarter by outscoring Utah 40-28. Minnesota star guard Anthony Edwards poured in 43 points in the victory, while center Rudy Gobert scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. Minnesota locked up the six seed in the N-B-A Western Conference with a 49-33 regular season record. Brice Sensabaugh had 22 points in the losing effort. The Jazz finished the season with a 17-65 record. The Wolves will face the Los Angeles Lakers in Game One of their best-of-seven opening round series on Saturday night at 7:30 P-M. The Lakers are the three-seed and will host the first two games of the series.
